NOTES: Comics Experience Guide to Writing Comics (2018)
- every scene needs a turning point. Emotional charges changes. Otherwise delete the scene.
- Don’t think in terms of acts, chapters, or sequences. Think in terms of TURNING POINTS.
- Turning Points are the moments when something happens to the character and/or they make a decision to change direction. Plots catalyze, but it’s character that makes the actual turn.
- Exposition typically doesn’t move your story forward
